Daytime Talk Show Schedule 2026: What's Still On, What Ended, and When Each Season Starts

Daytime talk lost two shows in 2026 and gained none. That is the fastest way to understand this schedule: what is left is three hours, two of them syndicated, and one network panel show that has now outlasted almost everything around it.

Below is what airs, when each season starts, and what happened to the hours that disappeared.

Which daytime talk shows are still on?

The View runs 11 a.m. ET weekdays on ABC and opened Season 30 on Sept. 8, 2026, with the same six women at the table: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.

Live with Kelly and Mark began its fifth season on Sept. 7. It is syndicated, so the hour moves by market — 9 a.m. on WABC in New York is the common pattern on ABC affiliates.

The Drew Barrymore Show starts Season 7 on Sept. 14, carried mostly by CBS stations. An eighth season is already ordered for 2027-28.

What ended in 2026?

The Kelly Clarkson Show closed on Aug. 31 after seven seasons and three Daytime Emmy wins for its host. Clarkson announced the exit in February, months after the death of her former husband, and framed it around music and her two children.

Sherri ended earlier, on May 21, when Debmar-Mercury cancelled it after four seasons. Sherri Shepherd said publicly that the decision blindsided her.

What replaced The Kelly Clarkson Show?

Nothing, nationally — and that is the story. NBC's owned stations filled the hour locally instead of buying another talk show: a news block in New York, a streaming-news simulcast in Philadelphia, Dateline repeats in Chicago and Boston, Hallie Jackson Now in San Diego.

Stations are choosing news and local programming over the syndicated model that carried daytime for forty years. If you want one number for the trend, it is this: two of the five daytime talk hours on this site's original list no longer exist.

Why is daytime talk shrinking?

Syndication economics, mostly. A national talk hour has to clear enough stations to pay for a studio, a band and a booking staff, and stations increasingly find that an extra half hour of local news costs less and sells the same advertising.

Both 2026 cancellations fit that pattern rather than a ratings collapse. Sherri was pulled by its distributor, and when Clarkson stepped away, no buyer stepped in to fill the hour she left.

What survives has a network or a station group behind it. The View is ABC's own show, Live is carried by ABC stations, and Drew Barrymore has CBS stations plus a two-season renewal — three different versions of the same protection.

Season premieres cluster in the week after Labor Day, which is also when guest bookings restart. The weeks before that are almost entirely repeats.

How do you find the time in your market?

For The View, the answer is fixed: 11 a.m. ET, 10 a.m. CT, on your ABC station. For the two syndicated hours, the station decides, and neighbouring cities often differ by an hour.

The quickest check is your provider's on-screen guide or the show's own station finder, and once you have it, the slot usually holds for the whole season.

Where can you stream them?

The View and Live both post full episodes to Hulu the following day. Drew Barrymore's show goes to Paramount+. Clips land on each show's YouTube channel within hours, which is often all you want if a single interview is what you missed.
