Late-Night Lineup Tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026: Sandra Bullock on Fallon, Andrew Garfield on Kimmel, Jon Stewart Back

Four new episodes, one rerun. That is the first full night of new late night since the last week of August.

Who is on The Tonight Show tonight?

Sandra Bullock and Mike D, with NBC's release listing the music slot as Mike D 5D. It is show #2336, and Fallon's first new hour since Aug. 20.

Bullock is at the front of a Practical Magic 2 press run that also puts her on daytime later this week. The Tonight Show starts at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC and lands on Peacock the next morning.

Who is on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight?

Andrew Garfield is there for The Uprising, and Joey King follows for Practical Magic 2. Franky Perez sits in with the Cletones, as he does every night this week.

Two of tonight's four bookings are from the same film, which is what a shared release date does to a talk-show week. Kimmel airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC and streams on Hulu the next day.

Is The Daily Show new tonight?

Yes, and Jon Stewart is in the chair. The show has been off since July 30, and Comedy Central moved the return to Tuesday because Labor Day took Monday away.

Stewart almost never hosts a Tuesday — his last one was a year ago. His regular Monday slot resumes Sept. 21. No guest has been announced, which is normal for a first night back. It airs at 11 p.m. ET, with Paramount+ the next day.

Why is Watch What Happens Live on at 9 tonight?

Because Bravo is protecting a premiere. The Real Housewives of New York City opens Season 16 at 8 p.m. ET, and TVmaze lists Andy Cohen's half hour right behind it at 9 rather than the usual 10.

What time is each show on where you live?

The two broadcast shows run a separate West Coast feed, so 11:35 holds in Los Angeles and drops an hour in Chicago and Denver. Bravo and Comedy Central feed the Pacific time zone at the same clock time as the East.

Still off. Late Night has not made a new episode since July 30, and tonight's 12:35 slot is a July rerun with Molly Shannon and Jake Johnson.

NBC brings the show back Monday, Sept. 21 — the same week Stewart returns to Mondays. Until then, the 2026 late-night schedule is the short version of who is actually on.
