Talk Show Guests This Week (Sept. 21-25, 2026): Seth Meyers Is Back, Conan on Fallon
The short version: Seth Meyers ends a seven-week break Monday with Kelly Clarkson in the first chair, Conan O'Brien visits Fallon on Tuesday, and Kimmel stacks Jamie Foxx and Ke Huy Quan on Tuesday before Ben Affleck on Thursday. Daytime belongs to Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Angela Bassett, who spend the week selling one FX premiere.
Two release dates set the bookings. Apple TV drops the first two episodes of Brothers on Wednesday, which is why Woody Harrelson sits with Kimmel on Monday and why he and Matthew McConaughey take Drew Barrymore's hour together Wednesday. FX starts American Horror Story: 13 on Thursday, and its cast fans out across ABC and syndication from Tuesday on.
The other headline is a comeback. Late Night has been dark since July 30, the longest planned gap of Meyers' run, and Monday's return puts Kelly Clarkson at his desk three weeks after her own syndicated show signed off. What changed since this board went up?
One line, and it is Friday's. Fallon's repeat now has a date on it — the Sept. 9 hour with Matthew McConaughey, Alix Earle and Riley Green — where the listings had left it blank on Friday.
Everything else held. Re-checked Monday morning, Sept. 21 against TVmaze, Interbridge and LateNighter; no booking has moved.
Who is on talk shows Monday, Sept. 21?
Daytime opens on politics and reality TV. Gov. Andy Beshear takes The View's interview slot for his book Go and Do Likewise, while Live starts a themed week called Fall For Your Skin with Blair Underwood on Doc, Survivor host Jeff Probst, and a performance from Ashley Cooke. Drew Barrymore hosts comedian Stavros Halkias on his Netflix special Uncle Stav, plus Sunny Anderson in the kitchen.
After dark it gets busy fast. Queen Latifah and Dave Franco headline Fallon at 11:35 with stand-up Ethan Simmons-Patterson closing; Kimmel counters with Woody Harrelson, Sam Richardson and the band Greta Van Fleet; Andy Cohen runs WWHL at 9 with Kayley Smith and Massi Scarcia appearing remotely. Jon Stewart is back in the Daily Show chair at 11 for the first time in three weeks, though Comedy Central has not named a guest yet. He has hosted Mondays since February 2024; Labor Day pushed his return to a Tuesday on Sept. 8, and the show went dark on Sept. 14 so the staff could fly home from the Emmys in Los Angeles.

This is the week's deepest night. Conan O'Brien returns to the show he hosted from 2009 to 2010, joined by The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and Lauren Lapkus, while Kimmel books Jamie Foxx alongside Ke Huy Quan. Meyers follows at 12:35 with Jon Hamm, The White Lotus actor Sabrina Impacciatore and Taylor Tomlinson.
Star Jones guest co-hosts The View for Sarah Paulson's visit, the first of three straight days the panel gives to American Horror Story. Jessica Lange does Live the same morning with Dolph Lundgren, and Drew has Jaclyn Smith on her book plus Ella Beatty from Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story. Bravo pairs Fox News analyst Jessica Tarlov with Erin Lichy.
What happens Wednesday, Sept. 23?
Premiere day. Brothers arrives on Apple TV with two episodes, and its two stars book the same daytime hour rather than splitting up: McConaughey and Harrelson sit with Drew together, alongside Valerie Bertinelli and chef Olivia Tiedemann.
Fallon goes a different way with John Cusack, Cara Delevingne and chef Daniel Humm. Kimmel has Brandi Carlile and filmmaker John Wilson. Meyers takes Ethan Hawke and Zara Larsson. Jessica Lange makes her second stop of the week on The View, again with Star Jones co-hosting, and Chelsea Handler brings the High and Mighty Tour to Live, where Drew Baldridge performs. Bravo's half hour lands at 10 p.m. rather than 9 for Lisa Barlow and Blair Underwood.
